Field Visit to Guaico Presbyterian School

Hey everyone, today was the second field visit to Guaico Pres for Asha, Britney, Anisha, Anika, Amelia and I. It was really cool. We got to see the teacher, Miss Sooklal of a Std. 4 teacher her class. The children in the school seemed nice. We had friendly and co-operative prinicipal and teachers. I am wondering how I am going to feel as a teacher. Hmmm. Apart from that we all went to lunch at a chinese restaurant in Sangre Grande where it so happened that many other teachers from the school went for lunch also.

This is a game where the child is required to match the name of the animal with a picture clue for the name of a group of animals. There are different levels so it also helps the child to increase his/her knowledge of the animal kingdom and offers a challenge.

Build a Volcano
This is a virtual volcano experience where a child can create a volcano from a choice of different types of volcanoes. This allows the child to change the viscosity and gas levels and when he/she is finished the child can view the created volcano on a 3D image. This game not only provides the child with the practical knowledge of building a volcano but also provides the theory of the different types of volcanoes, what is inside the volcano and global prospectives.

Puzzles & Quizzes
There are many different quizzes that the child can engage in about different animals like penguins, crocodiles, sharks and much more!

This website is very educational. Children can learn alot from it. I also think that a teacher can also get some ideas from it and a lot of educational facts that he/she can share with the class. It's also has a schedule of the T.V. shows!

Nick Jr is a website where children can expand their already creative minds. This website has many interesting activities. Children can check out their favourite characters and engage in educational games with these characters. There are shows that the children can watch with their favourite characters. What I think is really nice about this website is that it caters for parents. Parents can get advice on almost anything from babies to teenagers. Check out the website. www.nickjr.com
